I have been a (serious) role player for about 2 years now along with a Fallout fan. I enjoy many different types of role playing however I particularly excel and enjoy role playing in serious organizations. (Other examples include the CCA, and The Communist party (From other types of role play) I feel my Role playing experience can benefit the Brotherhood of Steel.
In character I wish to join the brotherhood as I have assisted them and after some tragic events am turning to the Brotherhood as my fate.

Backstory (4 paragraph minimum)
Brad Gustav was born into Vault 70 and lived there for the entirety of his of his early childhood. Life was nothing strange for him, as vault life was all he knew. He grew up a happy child with his Mormon parents. While growing up and attending school, he did not talk too many of the other kids that were there. He mainly focused on interesting topics, such as life before the war and the mind boggling technologies. And math..... Well.... The Idea of math is something that he always wished was obliterated along with the rest of the outside world. However his calm enjoyable childhood came to an abrupt end at the age of nine when the vault jumpsuit extruders failed. Brad did not entirely understand what that meant exactly; however what it did mean is that he and the rest of the vault members were being forced into the wasteland. However his parents joined up with some other of the vault members and began to travel together as a caravan. Their destination was not entirely known however the group knew they had to keep moving. After a few hours of traveling on his dads shoulders, Just seeing the destroyed world he had once heard all about was very scary. There were many strange creatures that he saw atop his dad’s shoulders but luckily enough the caravan was left alone until screaming began as some sort of spear was sent through one of the dwellers chest. The group began to yell and flee for their lives. After a few seconds of running, Brad was flung a few feet as his father falls to the ground. Bruised and scared, Brad begins to cry as dust is stirred from all the commotion. Unsure of what to do, he sees a small child about the same age as him also seemingly lost in the commotion. Brad begins to hobble towards him as one of the dwellers rams into Brad before running off. Brad, now knocked over, curls up onto a ball and begins to whimper as chaos ensues around him. After an unknown amount of time, Brad is tightly grabbed by one of the tribesmen and pulled off to be raised as one of theirs, Ahead of him he sees the child he earlier was once trying to get to.
For the next few years for his life, Brad is raised as a tribesman, however there were many complications. Brad never adjusts to the Tribal way of life and is very distant. Each day he spent dreaming of one day escaping. Until eventually his opportunity finally came about. For six years or so Brad spent his days learning the ways and skills of the tribesmen. About every week scout teams were sent out in search of caravans and supplies in general. Brad was glad to go on these missions, as he always looked for a window for escape. While scouting a road cross he spotted a caravan traveling by. However one of the tribal members was communication with them. Brad was unsure of what the conversation was about however when he saw him begin to travel on with them. He knew this was his chance for escape. "A friendly group of caravaners?" He said to himself. "Perfect". He travels for a few hours, trailing behind the caravan, living of the food he carried on him. Once the caravan made a stop, Brad caught up with them and talked to one of the salesmen. Brad explains his story of being forced to live as a tribesmen and his want to escape. The salesmen is happy to let him travel with them, where he meets up with the one tribesmen who turned out to be the small boy he once ran after during the attack on his parents caravan.
Over the next few months, the caravan traveled through Colorado after being warned of the dangers of the terrain of New Mexico and eventually into Oklahoma. For the next few more weeks, Brad and his tribal member whose name turns out to be "Adrian" begin to work for the caravan as scavengers. This continues on until eventually the caravan come across a small run down town in northern Oklahoma. The caravan along with Brad and his tribal partner enter the town before quickly being held up by bandits. The caravan salesman calmly begins to try to talk things out with the bandit group before almost immediately being gunned down. Brad along with Adrian rush into a nearby building to avoid the firefight going on outside. Brad stands up, readying his weapon, peeking out the window. As Brad is keeping watch, Adrian begins to have a conversation with someone inside the building. The two would say a few words before Brads name is called. "I think we should just lay low until they're gone, scavenge what we can after-wards, and figure out what to do from there." Adrian states. Brad agrees and the three crouch down, waiting for the raiders to clear out. After about 20 minutes Brad gets up and checks outside the building for raiders. No raiders can be found except some dead caravaneers and brahmin. The three head back into their building of shelter which turns out to be a library where Zach, The guy who Adrian met inside, talks about the story of the town and the rather constant raiders coming in and out killing and taking for themselves.
The three find refuge in the town, living there for roughly a year. After living in the town for so long, they felt the need to protect the town from the hands of raiders. To do so, they would need to arm themselves with supplies, gear, and a hefty amount of caps. To gain the needed supplies the three men head off to Texas to scavenge and be mercenaries for hire. After about a month of scavenging warehouses and anywhere where supplies could be located, and using their tribal skills to hunt and gather, their plan to become a mercenary group could finally happen as they had accumulated a large amount of supplies. For many months, the three made their way in life by completing any task someone would pay them to do. Their plan to be mercenaries was finally a reality and life was not too bad. On one of their travels they came across a Brotherhood of Steel squad, a scribe and two Knights. Zach began a discussion with the scribe about their similar interests which led to the three having the opportunity to help and possibly join the Brotherhood. As a sort of initiation to test the group’s abilities, they were sent to collect a piece of electronic equipment which they did successfully. The three were filled with confidence, now being supported by the Brotherhood for their deed. This feeling was quickly taken from them as they were held up by a large group of bandits. Their supplies were immediately taken along with all their weapons. The group quickly turned to the Brotherhood, Which they now saw as their fate.
